Brooklyn based ceramicist, Michele Quan, is the maker behind this unique, warm, and eclectic collection of objects for the home and garden. Quan begins her work with hand built or wheel-thrown clay forms that are then adorned with hand-painted imagery and fired at high temperatures in a gas kiln. Other materials including hand-dyed cotton, hemp rope and reclaimed wood are sometimes incorporated to create new forms.

Her work is infused with spiritually and heavy influenced by Eastern iconography and Buddhism. There is also an interested in ideas of impermanence and interconnection and Quan hopes that her pieces serve as objects of contemplation, a source of encouragement, and inspire reverence.
